Amity: Analyzing Conversation Investment on Discord
Amity is a Discord browser overlay developed by lewingtonpitsos that aims to detect the level of investment in conversations. By analyzing your conversations, Amity helps you understand who is more invested in the conversation.
Amity provides three metrics to determine the Alpha score: initiation ratio, word count ratio, and response time ratio. The initiation ratio compares the number of times you initiated the conversation to the number of times the other person initiated. A lower initiation ratio suggests a higher Alpha score. The word count ratio compares the number of words you sent to the number of words the other person sent. A lower word count ratio indicates a higher Alpha score. Lastly, the response time ratio compares the average time it takes for you to respond to the other person versus the time it takes for them to respond to you. A higher response time ratio implies a higher Alpha score.
By understanding your Alpha score, you can gain insights into the balance of your online relationships and prioritize your interactions accordingly. It's a helpful tool to identify if any of your relationships are too one-sided.
